The campaign to decide which character becomes the Official Mascot for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia reached its final stage this evening with the highly anticipated unveiling of the designs of the three candidates: a cat, a tiger and a wolf. The dynamic trio were presented today at 20:18 local time as one of the highlights of the annual Circle of Light Moscow International Festival at the iconic Moscow State University (MSU). Immediately following the unveiling of the mascot candidates, the online vote was made available for Russian fans on dedicated platforms. The conclusion of the voting is set to take place on 21 October on live television.
