Municipal budgetary institution "Capital of Urals" was to take the first drafts of posters dedicated to holding the World Cup in 2018 in Yekaterinburg.

Poster contest, held under the auspices of FIFA, gives Ekaterinburg opportunity to create a visual link with the city of the 2018 World Cup.The image that will win the right to be called the official symbol of the tournament, will take part in exhibitions and presentations, applied to the souvenir, promotional products and used in outdoor advertising.

When you create a poster of the authors should consider the following requirements:

  • character of each city must be unique;
  • in the poster should emphasize the characteristics of the city, properties tary only to him and distinguish it from other cities that will host matches of the championship;
  • posters may include a specially designed logo of the city with the theme of the upcoming football in the host city of the competition (style elements can act emblem, character, motto, support graphics).

Organizers of the contest drew attention to the fact that the projects should be provided in electronic form no more than 5 megabytes in JPG (colors in RGB) and sent to the e-mail address: mvr@ekburg.ru with the possibility of on-demand original models to TIF and / or AI and / or CDR.

Director MBU "Capital of Urals" Sergey Grigoriev:

Already received offers to portray posters featuring characters from fairy tales Paul Bazhov. Therefore, I consider it necessary to remind developers of posters that images should be recognizable not only among the Urals, but also be clear to the whole world.Therefore it is necessary to find such an idea that is unique and easy to understand for everyone.
